4/6/00 - The Jazz Band link is
now up and running! I know, I know, it's really late, but better late, than never,
right? Or as Mr. Lawless would say, "Better Nate than Lever." Ask
him about it sometime. Right now the page only has the jazz band roster, so if
anyone can come up with something I can put on there, I'd be happy to. Thanks!
UIL Concert/Sightreading Contest!
4/6/00 - The Stephenville HS
Symphonic band will be at the UIL Concert/Sightreading Contest next week, April 12, 2000
(Wednesday). For more information, check out the What's New
section. If anyone has any information about the Concert band or JH bands and their
schedule, please e-mail me. Thanks!
SHS Band Rummage Sale!
4/6/00 - I am really bad at this
updating the web site deal, have you noticed? Well, this Saturday, April 8, 2000,
from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (it might start earlier) at the Stephenville High School, the
Stephenville HS Band will have its rummage sale. There will be several band students
selling all sorts of stuff (I know I will be selling some of my old CDs and books!) so you
might want to come check it out! All proceeds go to these students to help pay for
their trip to San Antonio next month.
UIL Solo/Ensemble
2/21/00 - Last Saturday, many
many Junior High and Senior High students participated in UIL Solo/Ensemble at Cleburne.
These students have been preparing for this event since January and some even
before then. Although I do not have any information on Junior High results or Senior
High results, I will try to get them sometime this week. Needless to say, all of the
results were great. Our success is partly due to our newest band director, Larry
Lawless, and the Huntington Brass.
Editor's Note: Yes, Yes, I Know!
11/3/99 - The web site is up and running in "beta mode",
which means you may encounter problems with some of the links and you may accidently run
upon one of the pages with the 'old page' look. The first two selections of the side
menu works, so don't get too frustrated when you cannot click on 'Marching', 'Concert', or
'Jazz Band'. I just couldn't wait to get the new look up and running. If you
