Our Town Internet Service Weather Station

The Our Town Weather Station is a Davis Instruments Weather Monitor II with the following sensors: Temperature, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Dew Point, Rainfall, Heat Index and Wind Chill.   The instruments package is mounted 20 feet above the roof of our building and the sensors are radiation shielded to provide quality readings unaffected by surrounding buildings.  Weather data is collected continuously 24 hours a day.   Current conditions weather data is updated every 30 seconds and displayed on the Our Town Weather page.  All weather sensor data is available for full public viewing with no additional software needed.  Tom Arrington designed the software which interfaces the weather station with an MSSQL data base.

The live image is a video capture using an Intel Smart Video Capture card.  The image updates every 5 minutes.  The view is to the North North West looking across the Stephenville Court House.
