Please note the following guidelines:

1. All entries are encouraged to decorate with a patriotic theme (go wild with red, white, and blue)
2. All go-carts and riding mowers must have a KILL SWITCH.
3. City ordinance will not allow anything including candy to be thrown from vehicles. You may have walkers on sides handing out items to the crowd.
4. Bicycles, walkers, and skaters enter the parade at the TSU Business Building parking lot (change from previous years) to Washington Street. Committee members will place participants in correct order. Cyclers and skaters are encouraged to wear safety helmets.
5. Children who participate in the parade should be picked up by a parent at the Courthouse Annex Parking lot immediately following the parade.
6. Entries who cannot keep up my be asked to pull out of the parade.
7. Parade route will be east of Washington to Courthouse Square, then right on Belknap Street into the City Park.
8. The Parade Committee reserves the right to pull entries not deemed appropriate for this family Independence Day Celebration.
9. Only vehicles participating in the parade will be allowed past the barricades into the entry staging area. "Helper" parking will be available in adjoining parking areas.
10. Entrants transporting animals in trailers will be assigned an "end of parade" parking area in the vicinity of the City Park. Once the animals have been off-loaded at the college parking area, the trailers can be moved to this area to facilitate loading.
