The July 4th Family Fun Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, July 4th, 2001.  The event will be held in the Stephenville City Park.  The Fun Fair will feature a parade, live entertainment, arts & crafts, volleyball, basketball, 42 tournament, homerun hitting contest, hole-in-one contest, greased pig contest, food booths and a Field of Fun!
 

The July 4th Family Fun Fair Committee is made up of citizens in the community.  The committee shall organize, administer, and promote the programs and activities of the Stephenville Fourth of July Family Fun Fair.  Committee members serve on the committee for a three year term.

"They called me a 'throwback,'" Deryl says. "and I'd joke that it meant they could throw me back if they didn't like me. But I am country, it's how I walk and talk. When I go back to my family's farm in Commanche, Texas, I know that's where my soul feels at home."

The Field of Fun features various activities for kids of all ages.  Some of these activities are live entertainment, moonwalks, magicians, face painting, water trampoline, sumo wrestling, coin digs, milk bottle knock down, duck pond, fishing, ring toss, bean bag toss, and much more. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

All participants in the parade must complete and submit a parade entry form to the Family Fun Fair Committee.  The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. from the parking lot of Wisdom Gym (Tarleton State University).  The deadline to enter the parade is June 27, 2001.
 

DUBLIN DR. PEPPER will sponsor the 9th annual July 4th Fun Fair, 4 on 4 Volleyball Competition at Lions Club Field, in the Stephenville City Park.  Open Competition Division will begin at 7:00 p.m. on July 3rd and the Recreational Division will begin at 1:00 p.m. on July 4th.  Entry fee is $40.00 per team. Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each division.  Registration forms must be submitted by June 29, 2001 at 5:00p.m. Teams may consist of all male, all female, or coed for  more information call (254) 918-1292.

The Homerun Hitting Contest is opened to boys and girls in two age divisions (7 - 9 years, and 10 - 12 years).  Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division.  There is no registration fee to participate in this event.  Participants may register the day of the event in the City Park.  For more detailed information, call Kalin & Karla Elston (254) 965-7649.

Arts & Crafts vendors and food booth vendors of various types are a major component of the Family Fun Fair.  Vendors may register by completing the Booth Registration Form.  Please send your registration form to City Hall (298 W. Patrons visit the Field of Fun and participate in all the activities at no charge because of the sponsors.  Below is sponsorship program.  All contributions are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
